Spooky goings-on at the North Norfolk Railway this Halloween!

LITTLE HORRORS AT HALF-TERM

Weybourne Station becomes the home to ghosts and ghouls galore for this child-friendly spooky Halloween attraction. Open daily between 21st October - 29th October.

Complete your special Halloween quiz and escape the witches and wizards of Weybourne spell free.

Search the station and gardens to start collecting those vital clues.


The train now arriving into the grizzly grotto is the GHOST TRAIN!

These phantom carriages will have you clutching for your teddy bears as each compartment reveals a scene of Halloween spookiness. Be on your best behavior, the risk of being thrown into the stocks is ever near. keep those eyes peeled for more clues as you journey through the light-hearted horrors of the grizzly grotto

The Lair

Once you have escaped the grizzly grotto and broken the spell cast on the model railway you will gain the rare opportunity to face the keepers of the lair, the witches, and wizards of Weybourne.

When you have solved your Halloween quiz you will be rewarded with a special festive treat.

A charge is applicable per child for quiz and grotto entry.

 

 

STEAM AND SCREAM SPECIALS

 

Spooks Express - (Child-friendly)

Departs Sheringham at 5 pm 

Friday 27th October 

Take a journey into the darkness with the spooks express. Surrounded by the ghostly goings-on, your steam train will take you on a return journey from Sheringham Station to Holt stopping by wicked Weybourne to take in the light-hearted horror of the grizzly grotto.

Our first spooky departure is designed to spook children under the age of eleven.

Be drawn in by our storytellers as your train takes a journey into the unknown. Take time to stop off and explore the Grisly Grotto before going full steam ahead to Holt where the hauntings and phantoms are abound!

Spooks Express - (Adults and older children)

Departs Sheringham at 8 pm 

Friday 27th October 

Our second ghostly departure is for the slightly less timid, departing Sheringham at 8 pm, we ramp up the horror in an attempt to out-spook the 'un-spookable'!

Fearful tales will set you in the mood as the train steams through the darkness onto Haunted Holt where the frightfulness will send shivers down your spine.

Keep a keen lookout for the fearsome characters and creatures that could be lurking around the very next corner.

Will you make it through that Creepy Cottage alive?

This is not for the faint-hearted. Are you brave enough to take this Steam and Scream Special?

Fares

Normal fares will be in operation for this week. (Special fares apply on evening Ghost Train.)

Timetable

A standard yellow timetable will be in operation, with alternate steam and diesel services, the first service departing from Sheringham at 09.55 and from Holt at 10.35.
