PART-TIME KITCHEN ASSISTANT (approx. 16 – 32 hours)
The North Norfolk Railway operates steam and heritage diesel trains through beautiful coastal countryside between the Georgian town of Holt and the smart Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham. The 5½ mile line attracts around 165,000 passengers each year, is one of the County’s most popular tourist attractions and hosts a series of popular annual events including the Forties Weekend in September and the acclaimed Norfolk Lights Express in November and December.
We are now seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the small and friendly team and support the Head Chef with preparation of food in the Buffet including but not limited to sandwich making and breakfasts, and assist with dining trains, working with the on-board chef and undertaking washing up, kitchen porter and general cleaning duties. The successful candidates will be capable of following best practice for food hygiene and ensuring catering areas kept scrupulously clean and tidy.
Opening times include weekends & holiday periods, so rotas will include weekend & Bank Holiday working and some evenings. Pay will be dependent on age and experience.
