Did you know that Weybourne used to be famous for smuggling?
Travelling all over in the search for different treasures, before they would return to the Norfolk shores to share their bounty. But, there were many lookouts along the coast which meant smugglers sometimes had to hide their riches… and not all of them were found!
Now Captain Madoc is on the lookout for more sea-loving travellers to help find the missing treasure. Can you find follow the clues, decode the letters to discover the secret password and join the crew as they sail the seas?
Start your search at either Sheringham or Holt Station, collecting your trail sheet before heading out in search of the 10 letters you need to decode the password!
Tickets will be valid for all day travel as well as participation in our special pirate trail- all visitors with a valid children’s ticket can participate in the trail.
Timetable
Hop and off our historic trains all day to help you explore the line and discover all your clues!
Each day we will be running 2 different historic trains – from 1 to 7 August ride behind a powerful diesel lcomotive or in a heritage diesel railcar.
From 8* to 21* August, on Mondays – Thursdays you can ride behind 2 historic steam engines*, while on Fridays – Sundays you can ride behind 1 historic steam* and either a heritage railcar or diesel loco.

The locomotives, carriages and attractions listed are scheduled to operate at this event, but please understand with vehicles of this age, unforeseen repairs or maintenance may be required in which case alternative heritage trains may be substituted.
