Our Festival on Rails is a fantastic finale to the summer holidays. See and travel behind three different locomotives each day on trains dating from Victorian times to the 1960s. Grab your tickets and climb aboard for a journey back in time. Our great value one-, two- or three- day rover tickets are valid for unlimited travel allowing you to hop on and off all day and experience travel aboard contrasting trains from different eras.

TRAIN 1 – Train of 1950s and ’60s carriages scheduled to be hauled by a steam locomotive
TRAIN 2 – Carriages dating from Victorian times hauled by a steam locomotive on 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 & 29 August
TRAIN 2 – Steam-hauled brunch on board service with limted seating for non-dining passengers on 23, 30 & 31 August
TRAIN 3 – Train of unique 1920s teak carriages – steam-hauled on 22, 24, 25, 26 & 29 August; worked by a diesel on 23, 27, 28, 30 & 31 August
TRAIN 4 – Carriages dating from Victorian times hauled by a steam locomotive on 22, 24, 25, 26, 28 & 29 August
TRAIN 4 – Steam-hauled cream tea service with limited seating for non-dining passengers on 23, 27, 30 & 31 August

Fares
Event tickets allow for Hop on – Hop off unlimited travel all day.

Please note: to allow visitors to experience the variety of trains in action, tickets for this event are Day Rover Tickets – tickets for single journeys, or part-line returns are not available either in advance or on the day.

The locomotives, carriages and attractions listed are scheduled to operate at this event, but please understand with vehicles of this age, unforeseen repairs or maintenance may be required in which case alternative heritage trains may be substituted.
